Adult Martial Arts
We all know how essential movement is to our physical and mental health. As adults though, we often have so many other responsibilities that exercise becomes something to check off on an already too-long to-do list. When this happens, we’re less likely to enjoy what we’re doing or stick to it for the long term.
Unlike many other forms of exercise, taking classes at Kitsap Martial Arts can not only break you out of this cycle but can also help to:
Whether this is your first martial art or just one of several you’ve studied, there’s a place for you at KMA. Our martial arts training is rooted in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, stressing practical application, form mastery, and movement exploration over rote, exhaustive practice. Every session provides an opportunity to progress and grow in your skills, understanding of the system, and physical abilities.
Every adult class at KMA starts with a series of warm-up and mobility drills, followed by partner or solo practice based on the experience and abilities of the individual. We won’t ever ask students to do more than they’re ready for but encourage them to explore what they’re capable of. Our primary focus at all stages is safety, which includes making sure students understand the movements and feel comfortable asking questions of the instructor as needed.
Adult Classes at KMA are open to those aged 15 and older. For those under 15, consider our Kids Classes.
